Expansion in North America and Europe

VANCOUVER, March 18, 2010 — In a continuing effort to better serve its clients both in North America and Europe, Blast Radius, part of the Wunderman network, has added two offices in the U.S. and added four leaders in Europe.

In the U.S., Blast Radius’ presence on the west coast is rapidly expanding with the success of its new Portland and Seattle offices.  These two new offices, combined with the company’s Vancouver and San Francisco offices, allow the company to better service its clients including Nike, Microsoft and Starbucks.

“I believe we provide a very fresh and formidable option for Pacific Northwest companies who are looking for a world-class digital partner,” says Randy Siu, Senior Client Director and General Manager of Blast Radius in Seattle.  ”Seattle is a hotbed for innovation and technology; and we belong here,” says Siu.

In Europe, Riki Stadeler, an online marketing veteran who has worked with a number of multinational brands with a focus on FMCG, IT and finance, now heads up Blast Radius’ Hamburg office.  In addition, Chris Mellish (formerly of Razorfish) was brought on as managing director, Blast Radius/Europe, Middle East and Asia; Sean Chambers (formerly Tribal DDB/Amsterdam) as the region’s executive creative director and Jeroen Matser (formerly Tribal DDB/London) as strategy director.  Chambers and Matser are based in Amsterdam.  Mellish splits his time between Blast’s offices in London and Amsterdam.

“We’re growing in every direction possible: We’ve got new people coming in, new clients, we’ve got new office space being established. It’s just great to watch such excitement and growth happening at such speed,” says Chris Mellish.

Sean Chambers echoes Mellish’s sentiments: “The growth is happening fast – we’ve more than doubled in just six months and we’re attracting fantastic talent.”

March 2, 2010

Daniel Morel

Paris, March 2, 2010 — Search, Social, Mobile and Lady Gaga are all integral parts of a “new normal” for marketers spawned by the recession. Wunderman chairman and CEO  Daniel Morel told the audience at Microsoft’s Annual Marketing Summit that the new normal is about messaging that focuses more on substance than flash and on tools that deliver an unprecedented granularity that enable us connect locally in cost effective and authentic ways. He talked about the roles of Search and Social and how the battle raging between Google and Facebook is not just a battle for big brand marketing dollars but for Internet control and domination.  He also talked about the impact of the convergence of the two… the role of data … and how Mobile changes everything.  Read The New Normal.
