Update: July 2, 2009–Lufthansa has appointed Wunderman UK to handle its digital and direct marketing business. The agency will run all Lufthansa’s business-to-consumer and business-to-business communications in the UK, including their frequent flyer program, Miles & More, which currently has 16 million members.
FRANKFURT, May 26, 2009–Lufthansa once again selected Wunderman as Agency of Record for its direct marketing Miles & More, and Lufthansa WorldShop business. The decision came following Wunderman’s successful re-pitch of the business which Wunderman has had since 2001. According to Lufthansa, Wunderman once again demonstrated its creative flair and in-depth knowledge of the market. Other agencies involved in the pitch included: Leo Brunett, Publicis and MRM (McCann Erickson). The account win is a credit to Wunderman Germany’s continuing creative strength. This year, the agency is ranked #2 in Germany by Deutscher Dialogmarketing Preis, moving up three slots from the prior year. In addition, in the D-A-CH region, Wunderman also ranks #2.
